How about something Nice and Cold!

I've been looking at different ways to do freezer dinners, freezer dinner clubs, and once-a-month-cooking. It sounds like a great idea. It is always nice to have something in the freezer to just pull out for dinner; quick and easy!
This is a great website; Once a Month Mom where they have instructions, shopping lists, and recipes to do once a month cooking.
I need some recipes that freeze well, any suggestions?

When I saw your post title, I thought maybe you were talking about the weather outside! Nice and cold! What a great idea. I always think I am going to do that and then I don't....maybe you are motivating me! I know there are some good freezer meal recipe books.....just not sure of the name of them. Guess I am not much help after all. :)

Ahhhh...I can't wait to check out that website!!! What a great idea. I have a recipe that I love to freeze, it's on my kitchen blog, www.melissaskitchen.blogspot.com, and go under dinners and there is one that is meatless chili verde, it's heaven....you could add fresh meat to make it a quick meal, or leave it meatless and it's just as great!!

I'm not a big fan of "freezer meals." I also won't eat bread that has been frozen. I'm weird. For me it's just as easy to fix something fresh at the end of the day. Just requires me to plan ahead a little bit. Not much more planning, though, than taking a frozen meal out to thaw. I'll repeat, I'm weird. :)

We take juice, root beer, or just about any liquid (just not water, too boring) and fill an ice tray with it. Then we stick tooth picks in them before we put them in the freezer. The order to that last step is crucial. We've mixed it up and the tooth picks will not go in near as easy, if at all, if you screw that up. Anyway, I can give you more specific details at the next recipe sharing retreat.
